Samenvatting
The ideas behind the Twelve Stories were put on paper many years ago, but they remained in basic form only until recently. Many of the stories are now revised, have been added to and mistakes are corrected. Notwithstanding all these revisions, the stories still are what they were supposed to be when they were conceived: tiny pieces of a life, written like fairy tales, with situations or events that will make you think, feel sorry or laugh. Telling a story is a way to share things that are learned in life and this is particularly true for these twelve stories. They can be enjoyed as just a story, but there is always an underlying truth that relates to situations in life. Some situations may be recognized because the reader has experienced these situations. Some can perhaps be imagined, because readers have as much imagination as a writer.
