Samenvatting
'After reading this book, I look at Brussels with totally different eyes.' - Prof. Dr. Sierd Cloetingh, President Academia Europaea Hidden in plain sight; A star map is encoded within the very foundations of Brussels. Discover a mystery that spans thousands of years and links the capital of modern Europe to ancient Egypt. This book reveals that the pyramid structures of ancient Egypt and the city of Brussels have more in common than one would suspect. The author invites the reader as travelling companion and co-explorer on a journey that starts with a visit to the Louvre Museum in Paris and a trip to the Egyptian city of Luxor. He rediscovers that the pyramid structures are mapped out along the River Nile to mimic star constellations in the cosmos, including Sirius, Orion, Taurus and its Pleiades, and a Sun-like star Trinity, with the river Nile representing the Milky Way. To his amazement, he found that the same star map is encoded in the architecture, streets and parks that were created during the nineteenth century when Brussels was upgraded to capital of the new Kingdom of Belgium and one century later that of the European Union.
