Samenvatting
Kafkaistan is an autocracy, a totalitarian state. Citizens have no privacy. Criticism is mercilessly punished. People disappear without a trace. Autocracy, as a form of state, gives the government control over all levels of society, such as media, science, politics, culture and finance. A state ideology prevails. The secret police have far-reaching powers. Czech-German author Franz Kafka (1883-1924) lived in such a fascist country. "Don't go there. It's a miserable country!" he tells us. Are we headed for Kafkaistan? There is a way out, but the path is narrow and winding.... We are very concerned about our toxic polarization. What is causing it? But above all, how do we get rid of it? What is a way out? What are the symptoms? Whereto does it lead?
