"He who laughs... lasts" said the amazing American humorist, Erma Bombeck. One objective of this book is to share perspectives, broaden one’s horizons through meeting life head-on with equanimity and a sense of humor. It can enable an individual to open up to situations without being immediately diverted into the polarity of judgment of "l like..." or "l don't like." One is then able to stand in the moment, to withstand the experience of it as a calm, objective observer. We may be moved by an event but not thrown off-balance by it. Increased objectivity releases one from the expectations and attachment of how we think or assume something should be. It has proven to be a powerful tool for restoring and maintaining balance in the midst of ever-changing conditions. Nurturing self from the source of our individual and collective potential spans the range between our seeming limitations and our greatest assets. It enables inner and outer creativity to blossom into new undreamed possibilities.
My adventure started with my childhood dream of giving expression through art to the beauty that is in and around us. To express the magical aspect of nature that always surrounds us on our planet was my wish. How to lend artistic expression to less tangible elements such as flowing water, blowing wind, or even a rainbow as it weaves through the landscape was my dream.
Another was the longing to give expression to the less tangible, immaterial aspects of life such as the angelic or the fairy realms. My goal has always been to uplift people through awareness of the inherent beauty that is still part of our world. This has, and always will be, my life purpose, irrespective of any predominant worldview.
