Samenvatting
THE INSPIRING STORY OF CHARLOTTE JACOBS, A DUTCH STUDENT WHO TAKES A STAND AGAINST THE NAZI REGIME. Leiden in the 1940s. A small group of students have secretly gathered to write illegal pamphlets. The air in the room is thick with cigarette smoke. The windows are covered with heavy blackout curtains. The typewriter is clattering steadily. Each time the type hammer swings up and prints a letter, the students slide a little further into the dark underworld of illegality. Among them is a woman named Charlotte Jacobs - a young law student, pamphlet writer, critical thinker, courier, prisoner, friend, and resistance hero. This is her story.
