Samenvatting
Are you reaching your desired results? Are your employees and management involved in security?
In this book, I’m expanding on my book How to Create a Risk-Aware Culture and Empowerment (RACE 2019), with ideas about leadership and empowerment. Ultimately, if teams work together and feel empowered to make decisions and mistakes, they will be the strongest links in security. For each breach that occurs, a thousand will be stopped because of common sense in day-to-day business. Oh, and breaches do occur. The question is how to recover from a breach without blaming the employee.
Leadership should focus on enabling teams to do their work, and not on controlling, and thus suffocating, innovation and lowering energy that might have been expended on work.
